This indictment brings us one step closer toward bringing justice to this survivor. We commend Louisville Metro PD and the the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney of Jefferson County for their hard work and leadership on this and the other backlog cases, and are confident this is the first of many perpetrators who will be apprehended as a result of the effort to test the 3,000-plus untested sexual assault kits in Kentucky. This case demonstrates the power or DNA in solving crimes and delivering justice to victims and our community.
