Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence (KCADV) seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA Economic Empowerment Resource Specialist to assist with capacity building and resource development. This position will have the unique opportunity to develop key marketing materials, lead our annual Purple Purse fundraising campaign, and work with Domestic Violence Programs around the state to end intimate partner violence.
The VISTA Economic Empowerment Specialist will:
-Provide community outreach
-Plan and assist with fundraising events
-Create press releases
-Develop social media accounts
-Develop creative marketing materials to promote
various KCADV programs
-Write and research grants and other funding proposals
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
-Experienced in Canva, InDesign, Microsoft Office
-Experience with driving social media campaigns
-Strong written and verbal communication
-Self-starter
-Passion for National Service
AmeriCorps VISTA term is a 12 month term to run June, 2018 – June, 2019. Candidate MUST be able to commit to the full year of service. During the term of service a living allowance of $12,277 will be paid. Successful completion of the term of service also comes with an education award ($5,920) or a cash stipend ($1,800). In addition, health care, child care assistance, and relocation assistance are available to those who qualify.
Recent college graduates with a background in communications, public relations, and/or marketing are strongly encouraged to apply. Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence is also able to supervise practicum students.
