Times of change can bring uncertainty, but one thing remains the same—KASAP’s dedication to supporting survivors and preventing sexual violence across Kentucky.
As the coalition of Kentucky’s 13 regional sexual assault centers, we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure survivors have access to free, confidential, 24/7 care. Every Kentucky county has a dedicated sexual assault center offering crisis services, counseling, and advocacy. No matter who you are or when the violence occurred, you deserve support.
KASAP and our regional centers continue to work alongside schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and communities to reduce the risk of sexual violence and connect people with the services they need. We are aware of misinformation circulating about survivor rights and available resources, and we encourage individuals to rely on credible sources.
While recent federal funding challenges have created uncertainty for victim service programs nationwide, KASAP remains committed to advocating for the resources needed to support survivors. We work on a statewide level and in partnership with national organizations like RAINN and NSVRC to communicate with policymakers, ensure that decision-makers understand the needs of survivors, and push for sustainable funding. Through these efforts, we continue to strengthen Kentucky’s response to sexual violence and build a future where every survivor has access to the care and justice they deserve.
Our commitment is to ensure every survivor receives compassionate, evidence-based care. We will continue speaking with a unified voice against sexual violence and working toward a safer future for all Kentuckians.
