KASAP has launched a new, online learning platform! Canvas is used by the best universities and schools across the country, and KASAP will use it to host high-quality trainings for RCC staff and community partners.
CURRENTLY on Canvas: Kentucky Legal Training for SANE A/A Certification.
This course is to help nurses complete the required Kentucky legal foundation to receive the SANE A/A certification. It may be an accompaniment to the International Association of Forensic Nurses SANE certification program, or for nurses who may have recently moved to KY with another SANE certification, but this course is open to anyone interested in the topic, including advocates. This course will introduce you to Kentucky’s laws and policies relevant to the SAFE and related topics. To enroll in this course, fill out a request here.
IN THE WORKS: KASAP Legal Advocacy Training
A collaborative effort with experienced RCC advocates, prosecutors, and systems-advocates, KASAP is creating a comprehensive online training for staff new to legal advocacy and/or staff who want a refresher on a topic. Keep an eye out for an announcement when this course is complete!
